Description

Join us for a special, 2 day workshop designed for those wishing to go deeper into their harmonium and kirtan practice who already have some basic experience. In these classes you will continue to develop your harmonium playing, knowledge of the keyboard and western music theory, confidence using your voice and leading kirtan, and learn new music to add to your repertoire. Whether you are just looking to chant and play the harmonium for your personal practice, share in yoga classes, or to lead kirtans, this weekend training is for you.

Students will receive easy-to-read chant sheets they can take home to practice, and will have access to audio recordings of each of the chants. The music taught will be chord based, western style using Sanskrit mantras.

This course is for anyone who already has a basic ability to play the harmonium and is familiar with the western note names (A, B, C etc.) on the keyboard. If you are a complete beginner and wish to take this course, contact Ferdie to setup a private online session or two with Seth before the course begins.

We encourage students to bring their own harmoniums. If you are interested in purchasing an instrument, please contact Ferdie for recommendations. There will be a limited number of harmoniums available to use during the workshop.
